Not a manic Monday. :)
Compared to the events of yesterday, things were as normal as could be desired. Woke up to watery sunshine that got progressively brighter as the day wore on. Managed to have a leisurely breakfast, and then I had the maid empty the other spare jerrican of diesel into the genset so that now it has a full tank; this made the gas station the obvious choice for the first stop in today's itinerary.
Once having filled up the reserve jerricans, we dropped by home to drop them off, then our next stop was the Barangay Office to submit the reply slips for the parents' mid-year bonus from City Hall. We double-checked Ramon's status, and it turned out that while he didn't get a notification, he was on the payroll (which is the more important thing). The staff gave us a reply slip to fill up, and this coming Thursday, I'm to drop parents and husband at the Bel-Air covered court so they can get their "happy money". ::grin::
Stopped by the ATM at the post office to collect reimbursements from the parental account for all the groceries to date, and the diesel for the genset. Once the money was in hand, we went to Santuario, where I stopped by the other ATM in order to deposit the cash.
From there, we said hello to the staff at Mercury Drug, where we picked up some of Ramon's medicines. Since it was coming on to lunch time, we then headed to Glorietta. Pancake House served us a nice, hot, filling lunch; then while Ramon headed for the pay lounge bathrooms, I dropped into Dreams. ::chuckle:: I now have a set of aluminum knitting needles in my three preferred sizes, for less than three hundred bucks. So now my knitting kit bag is complete, as far as the needles go...because of course, you can never have enough yarn in your life!
SM Makati next, and Ramon and I split for a while, me to take a look inside Watson's, and he to the second floor to look for additions to our tea time stash. Met up again in the supermarket as I was going through the grocery list, and before too long, we were on our way home.
Unloaded the groceries, sorted through things, and got the computer to go online for e-mail and feeds. I found a way to put my LJ Friends list into the Flock feed reader, and I must say that it makes life go a lot faster to see who's updated and go straight to reading those posts. ::bounce::
Then it was pretty much life as usual, and with the writing of this post, I can consider myself pretty much current on things and can (a) go do some random surfing, or (b) get a head start on prepping photos for posting on the web. You'll see which way it went when the cam spam starts, I guess.
