A Week's Worth of Updates, roughly
Back in front of the iBook once more. Have attached the mini-keyboard from CD-R King instead of the full keyboard by A4 Tech, to see if I can make it work for me on a regular basis. The old motto of "Use it up! Wear it out! Make it do, or do without!" is something I am trying to follow on a consistent basis - along with the principle of giving away things that are just taking up space in the closets. So far, it's been working well for me.
Am in a tired phase at the moment. Admittedly, it has been a rather busy week. Sunday was the typhoon and power outage. Monday was stay at home while the rain continued. Tuesday was for paying a credt card bill, and doing the groceries. Wednesday the parents and I went to Tagaytay. Thursday parents and Ramon went to a senior citizens meeting, and Dad had an appointment at the opthalmologist.
Today was supposed to be for staying home, except I discovered I lost Ramon's blood test form, OY. So we went to Dr. G's clinic, where everyone was happy to see hubby up and about and looking fine. We got the form after a short wait, then dropped by the McDonald's drive-thru in Greenbelt to get snack food. Which McDo promptly made me quite unhappy when I discovered - much later - that while I had paid for two apple pies, the children at the pick-up window only gave me ONE. OY. Hubby says I should raise a rumpus about it, and I will, as soon as (a) I find their number and (b) I find the energy. I really do feel like a flat tire.
Pity I have that women's organization meeting tomorrow. It's been postponed once and the venue has moved twice already. Am leaving Ramon at home since he won't have much of anything to do except bore himself to tiredness; after the meeting, I supposed I could take some time to pamper myself - or better yet, go to the Office Warehouse in Rockwell, *finally* order that filing cabinet my back demands that I buy, and then pass by Gaisano to stock up on chibi food.
Ramon and I have set up Sunday as blood testing day. With circumstances in our favor, we should also be able to drop by the SM Bills Payment counter and National Book Store. That's about as far as I intend to think, except for Ramon's check-up on July 1.
I've started a new knitting project, now that I've finished recycling the yarn from my old swatches into a modified Roman stitch sampler. I am now teaching myself to knit socks. I have moved past the initial two rows using double-pointed needles, and I have about six inches to go before I get to lesson two, which will teach me (I hope) how to work on a sock heel. I figure if I can master heeled socks, knitting tube socks and leg warmers should be a cinch!
More random reports as they happen. Catch you when I catch you!
